2015. 10. 19.  Chalcocite (Cu2S) and chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) are the two most commonly floated copper sulphide minerals. Bornite (Cu5FeS4) and covellite (CuS) and energite (Cu3AsS4) are normally present in lesser quantities. The complete flotation of chalcocite is achieved between ph = 1 to ph = 10 with ethyl xanthate. The resulting hydrophobic species is CuX.
